This evening we will observe and celebrate the our Savior’s last hours with his disciples. Maundy in the name “Maundy Thursday” comes from the Latin term mandato, which simply means “command.” This final evening is when Jesus gave his disciples two clear commands: 1) Love one another and 2) To celebrate the Lord’s Supper.
Tonight’s service will focus on both of those. Jesus models humble, loving service when he washed his disciples’ feet and gave them the specials upper where he gave them and still gives us today his true body and blood with the bread and wine for the forgiveness of our sins.
Worship will be held both in-person and online, with the celebration of the Lord’s Supper taking place at the end of the service, just outside the sanctuary doors.
If you have any questions on this service before or after worship, please speak to or email Pastor Shrimpton.
